Links and useful information about other religions

This website is funded by the Church of England - you will have seen the logo at the top of each page. For a long time The Church of England has resourced chaplains within many secular areas. Hospital chaplains and prison chaplains are perhaps better known for their particular roles but the Church also has many teams of Workplace Chaplains (also known as Industrial Chaplains) working around the country. These teams are sometimes ecumenical in their make up including ministers from The Methodist Church, The United Reformed Church, The Catholic Church and some of The Free Churches.

Chaplaincy is deeply embedded within the mission of the Christian church but is not a concept generally embraced by other faiths. This makes for interesting conversations when we are asked about multi-faith chaplaincy.

As the Christian Church, we are very clear that our job is not to proselytise in the workplace but to stand alongside anyone who invites us into conversation.

As stated on the front page of iChaplaincy we are here for those of faith or none. This means any faith not just the Christian Faith. Whilst we have a resident Christian iChaplain, if an e-mail client asks for help from a Chaplain from another faith, we have a network of people who can help us with this.

We are sensitive to the question of other faiths in the workplace and want to be able to offer support as when needed to those of other faiths. With this in mind the following links are offered to sites which may be able to offer some further information. If you would like to e-mail in to us, we will attempt to address any questions or concerns you have. You do not have to be Christian to send an e-mail to us.
